hill. The signal from base will just pass over their

heads or be absorbed by the intervening hills.

In the same way, the hill-

party cannot make contact

with the base.

Base could transmit to the vehicle and ask it to relay out to the

hill-party as we have always done in the past. The vehicle needs

to be manned and in the right place!
